( Concept )

In the 747 km Project, our team has challenged our own perception of ecology as a whole.

We have developed it as a discourse of a caring and respectful attitude towards nearly everything that surrounds us. Starting from our families, local communities, and natural surroundings, we could gradually train ourselves to truly care about global challenges, such as climate change. This bottom-up approach is a key to our image of a sustainable future.

Learning about the development of museums from the collections of colonial misappropriation to the open source platforms for knowledge available today, we couldn’t ignore the core principle that remains: collecting and exposing. We aim to rethink museums as institutions based on the power of a viewer upon an object or collection.

The path goes by 10 towns, 57 villages, 2 national parks, and hundreds of architectural monuments and scenic sights. Some of them are imaged below. Others can be found on the 747km.ru website or in the paper guidebook.
