( Concept )
Floods, landslides, drought, wildfires, blizzards... we encounter such extreme weather events all too often now. It’s time to get exact solutions to ease such events. Reducing carbon footprints is an option. We propose a future museum - “MUSEUM of EX-ACT: exponential growth using Green Infrastructure (GI)”. It aims to use existing GI instead of building a museum, globally and simultaneously, so existing GI become “satellite museums”.
We encourage people to participate in outdoor community events, so carbon footprints can be reduced. Modular installations are used to promote climate justice with talks, exhibitions and video playing. Once a month, a scavenger hunt in different satellite museums will be held. This will encourage people to go out and interact with each other and nature. Free biodegradable pots with different edible plant seeds will be given to people in satellite museums to plant at home. Growing the plants as your own food and after harvest, the pot will be dissolved in a few weeks as nutrition for soils. A PokémonGO-game like app will be developed to collect the hidden QR code at bottom of pots. Scanning it to collect series of plants will encourage children to participate in the museum events and promote food exchange.
